Three days after graduating from highschool I was in army basic training. I spent a little over a year in traing (basic, Leadership school, AIT, jump school, Special Forces training) and in October 1968 I was assigned to "C" Company, 1st Special Force Group (ABN) on Okinawa. In May of 1969 I went to Viet Nam and worked for MACV doing ground recon in an organization called C & C. In August 1970 I returned to Savannah and went to Armstrong State College. While going to college I worked and remained a member of the Special Forces reserves in Savannah.
