W. H. Bill's Story
Three days after graduating from highschool I was in army basic training. I spent a little over a year in traing (basic, Leadership school, AIT, jump school, Special Forces training) and in October 1968 I was assigned to "C" Company, 1st Special Force Group (ABN) on Okinawa. In May of 1969 I went to Viet Nam and worked for MACV doing ground recon in an organization called C & C. In August 1970 I returned to Savannah and went to Armstrong State College. Embacy in 1979 I joined the Air Force. I retired the 1st time from the Air Force in 1992. Then, after being out for over ten years 9/11/2001 happened and the Air Force asked me to go back on active duty. I happily did so. I retired again in November 2006 and received credit for a little over 31 years of service. I have been happily married to my wife (Talley Denmark) for the past 41 years and we have two grown children and six grand children (five boys and one beautifull little girl). After being away from home for many, many years Talley and I moved back to the Savannah area in October 2006. Give me a call, I'd love to get together with you!
